AAIA and IAME Join Forces

The AAIA has joined alongside the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers, Group of Companies (IAME) to advance the cause of quality independent autoglass repair and replacement businesses in Australia.

The existing AAIA operational glass replacement arrangements will seamlessly transfer over to the IAME Group of Companies with the full administration of the AAIA transitioning to the IAME Group of Companies shortly after. This process of transition will commence December 2017.

The objects of this amalgamation are:

  • To continue to run the AAIA on the basis of a not-for-profit company whilst ensuring that independents are paid a fair rate for repair work.
  • To grow the work base of independent businesses.
  • To continue with training initiatives that will over time ensure the AAIA-IAME members are all nationally qualified.
  • To grow the business as a commercial concern so that all members can enjoy increased workflow and ensure a strong AAIA.
  • To support the vision of the AAIA that all vehicles returned to the road are at OEM standards or better with safety being paramount at all times.

AAIA-IAME members will receive the IAME bi-monthly magazine and autoglass newsletter bi-monthly and enjoy all the member benefits of the IAME.

Members and potential members can contact Leanne Marnell (AAIA) m: 0405 533 728 or Jessica Bezzina (IAME) m: 0468 484 814 to discuss any queries.
